Conflict Revolution Events, Courses, and Workshops

EVENTS:

1) Raising Confident Kids, Electing Conscious Leaders

A Pre-Election Community Dialogue

Confident kids grow in communities that listen, support, and lead with intention. This gathering invites school board trustee candidates—and anyone interested in the upcoming election—into a shared conversation about leadership, public education, and how we show up for one another.

We’ll begin by reflecting on what public education means to us—why it matters and how it shapes our communities. Then, we’ll explore how to talk about important issues with those who may see things differently, building tools for connection, clarity, and courage.

This is a space to slow down, reflect, and grow our capacity to lead with intention—for our students, our communities, and each other.

2) Monthly Community Conflict Skill Building Sessions:

Project Ploughshares Calgary's Monthly Meetings

Next Meeting June 11, 2025 at 6:30pm

We live in a world increasingly shaped by polarization, disconnection, and a lack of meaningful dialogue. These dynamics influence how we engage—or avoid engaging—with one another. Conflict is everywhere.

Join Project Ploughshares and Conflict Revolution for a 30-minute community conflict skill-building session held just before each monthly Ploughshares meeting.

Together, we’ll move beyond the mindset of winning, compromising, or rushing to solutions. Instead, we’ll explore how conflict feels—both within ourselves and in our relationships. How can we shift from feeling unclear, anxious, or stuck to showing up with strength, confidence, and clarity—even when we disagree?

Sessions begin at 6:30 PM and offer a thoughtful warm-up for the rich discussions that follow. Each month features new, interactive activities designed to build practical conflict skills to support your work for positive change in the world.

This is a FREE event.

3) Transitioning From Candidate to Colleague:
Working Together After the Election

This post-election session invites newly elected City Councils and School Boards to reflect on the campaign experience, acknowledge any tensions or harm, and begin rebuilding trust as you prepare for the work ahead.

Co-designed with the facilitator, this conversation creates space to debrief openly, explore shared goals, and consider how you want to show up for one another moving forward.

By working through the messy moments together, you can begin to lay the groundwork for respectful, collaborative leadership.
